Become a Tutor

At B2A Learning Centre, we offer a diverse range of programs and customized tutoring in all subjects including Math, English, French, Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, and Accounting from Pre-school to University/ College. We are looking for permanent, part time tutors for weekday after- school hours and/or weekends. We are seeking individuals who are passionate about teaching and coaching. Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills are essential. We are looking for tutors who care about our students’ progress and who can teach them to have a positive attitude. A qualified candidate for this position will possess the following criteria:
  • Extensive knowledge and background in Science, Physics, Chemistry or Biology
  • Graduate of a Bachelors program or in senior years with good academic standing
  • Graduate or enrolled in B.Ed, OCT
  • Familiarity with the current Ontario Curriculum
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Experienced tutor/teacher is preferred
  • Must be able to work in a team
  • Available from 6 – 8 pm on weekdays and/or 10 – 4 pm on weekend

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for teaching individuals /small groups of students
  • Classroom management: prepare coursework materials, homework assignments, and handouts
  • Evaluate the student’s class work and assignments (i.e: grade tests, essays, reports and other assignments)
  • Offer advice on further learning and progression opportunities to students as required
  • Provide students with feedback in line with the faculty assessment systems
  • Work with the directors to create individualized lesson plans to meet identified learning goals

  • Communicate with director, students, and parents on a constant basis to discuss student progress
