B2A Learning Centre introduces Kindergarten students to a fun and structured learning environment where they develop a strong foundation that will help them to succeed in kindergarten and beyond. We offer a variety of programs for kindergarten students:
Language Arts
Reading
  • Recognize and form upper case and lower case letters of the alphabet
  • Focus on phonetic awareness
  • Identify letter names and sounds
  • Read simple one-syllable words
  • Build simple vocabulary and word recognition
  • Learn how to follow words from left to right, matches print to speech, and read simple text
  • Use reading strategies in texts, check the picture, check initial/ final letter, re-read for meaning
Writing
  • Distinguish between letters, sounds, words, and sentences
  • Learn how to use letter-sound relationship in their writing
  • Spell high frequency words
  • Write simple sentences
  • Use upper case and lower case letters when writing
  • Add details to written work
  • Write or dictate a story with a beginning, middle and end
